I created a landscape report using the VS 2005 Sql reporting. I have edited my margins to be 1 in all around on the top bottom right and left. I have also set my width to 11in and hieght to 8.5 inches. I set the interactivesort to 11 in width X 0 height for lanscape every thing prints out in landscape and all colums are viewable. I have verified the width of my tables, headers and footers not to be over 8in. I am having a two fold problem Problem 1 is I am getting a blank page that includes the header after each page with data this is doubling the print job size fro 10 pages to 20 pages. I need to understand what I may have wrong and how to fix this. The second issue is the report view only show 3 pages in its listing instead of the 10 it should show or the 20 pages if blankpages are included. Please explain why and what needs to be corrected.
hey , I think you set the margin but you Report Body width didn't correctly configured ,
set your Report Body width to 9inch because you set the margin to 1 inch , it mean you should set your body to 9 inch 11 - 1 - 1 = 9
;)
|||I print my report in portrait only. But I can give u sm tips which might be of use. My reports' interactive size is 8.5" x 11.5 " the margins are 0.5",0",0",0'
The body height however is of no imp just check the width, mine is 8"(8.5-0.5) but the height is 14.5" in order to accomodate all my rpt items.
To debug, colour the background of your report to check where it spills over. Sometimes an extra space after a ctrl will result in a blank page.
As for your second issue the reportviewer only breaks after a physical page break not with a soft break.
Hope this helps
